Our custom software is built to client programming standards, and utilises existing and extensively tested functional blocks to reduce development and commissioning costs and durations.

Whether you’re looking for simple performance enhancements or innovative stockyard management and anti-collision systems, our specialist team can help.

Benefits

MRA’s specialists deploy a number of strategies to ensure the software delivers the best possible solution to clients in the shortest possible time.

In addition to using existing functional blocks to reduce development time, we have the ability to undertake performance and behavioural testing in a sophisticated simulation environment. Unlike more traditional yard machine commissioning, confirming correct behaviour under all possible configurations in a simulation environment reduces site testing from weeks and months to mere days.

This helps us model the machine to test sequencing logic and optimise performance in areas like stacking, reclaiming and stockpile interactions in our offsite environment, saving you time and onsite costs. Simulations can be remarkably accurate and able to test feedback parameters prior to onsite testing.

FAQs

What kinds of feedback parameters can the simulated mobile machine position test for?

The simulation can test machine position and feedback parameters, including bucket wheel power with multiple samples of stockpile stack, reclaim, restack, and reclaim to be commissioned.

How long would it take to test mobile machine and stockpile behaviours in a real plant?

Real stockpiles can take weeks to be stacked and reclaimed, depending on plant operational requirements.

Why would we choose to work with MRA for our automation engineering?

MRA is the only Australian engineering company that has both deep domain expertise in bulk materials handling, as well as a suite of intelligent software designed to create greater visibility and performance over your operations. The combination enables you to improve safety and efficiency quickly, and to continuously improve over time.

What our clients say

Anthony Manousso

Anglo American

“The coding that MRA developed within the ControlLogix PLC is extremely efficient and reliable. We are now using it for 98 percent of loading.  This TLO system is an integral part of our pit to port operation.”

What our clients say

Travis Burton

Port Kembla

“The stockpile modelling and laser optimisation were major factors in our efficiency gains.”

Enhancing Port Operations with a High-Quality Control System

The client was replacing the existing Berth and Shiploader, which had reached their end of life. This project included new switchrooms, conveyors, and mooring hooks in addition to the new shiploader.

MRA was engaged to complete the Control System design and implementation including the Functional Safety Software development.
