Efficient Implementation of Control System Upgrade
Intro
The client was installing an additional 12 belt press filters to their existing Coal Handling and Preparation Plant. MRA Engineering was engaged to design and implement the control system for the upgrade, including:
- PLC and SCADA development - Rockwell PLC and Honeywell SCADA
- Factory Acceptance Testing
- Commissioning
Our goal was to deliver the required services in the short timeframe provided with minimal fuss.
The results
- PLC & SCADA developed to the existing site standards
- A flexible commissioning team that was able to adapt to the fluid nature of on-site construction and equipment availability during a fixed shutdown period
- Ongoing support and training provided to maintain production post-shutdown
